New Regulations for Circular Soft Cups in 2024
Since the beginning of this year (2024), new regulations have come into effect to accelerate the transition from single-use to circular packaging. Closed events are now required to collect at least 75% of their cups. Whether you choose hard cups or soft cups, an effective return system is essential to meet these standards. Implementing a deposit or recycling token system can significantly boost collection rates. Additionally, it is crucial that the collected cups are free from contaminants such as cans, prints, confetti, sand, and food residues to ensure complete recyclability.
